I finally got around to doing something "real" with Ansible recently, and I'm really liking it. Between Ansible and Docker, my latest project can be fully tested and deployed by anyone with access to the github repository and with Docker installed on their local machine. They don't need Python, Ansible, or any other requirements. It even works with a brand-new Digital Ocean server with nothing other than Docker installed.
When I was getting started, I did some searching for a simple introduction to Ansible, but I couldn't find any. Every "introduction" or "simple example" threw in way too much information and I couldn't figure out what the bare minimum required to get started was.
As a result, I'm going to put out a series of screencasts that demonstrate -- starting with an empty directory -- how to do something useful with Ansible.
Here is the first video.
